A meeting between the Los Angeles Lakers and Charlotte Hornets Sunday night at Staples Center meant one thing: A losing streak had to come to an end. 

The Purple and Gold attempted to snap their league-worst nine-game losing streak, while the Hornets aimed to halt a two-game skid. 

The Hornets went on to register the road win, 101-82.
