Costa Rican Footballer Reacts to Foul by Launching Boot at Opponent

Being fouled is a pretty common part of the game of football, so you'd have thought a Costa Rica international would know how to deal with a few unwarranted kicks and trips.

Well, apparently not, judging by this reaction from Alajuelense and Costa Rica star Jonathan McDonald.

The 28-year-old forward was playing for his club in the Costa Rican first division when he was fouled from behind by Deportivo Saprissa midfielder Nestor Monge.

But instead of appealing for a free-kick and quickly moving on, McDonald reacted by removing his boot and throwing it in the direction of his fleeing opponent.

McDonald has since apologised for the incident, but that hasn't saved him from a suspension.
