UK Back Pages: Louis van Gaal Is Ready to Quit Manchester United

Sean SwabyJan 24, 2016

One day removed from a demoralising defeat to Southampton at Old Trafford, it appears as though the Louis van Gaal era could be coming to a close at Manchester United.

That's the message in the Mirror, as Van Gaal is close to quitting Manchester United as the team's form struggles.

The rest of the papers turn their attention to Sunday's marquee match in the Premier League, Arsenal vs. Chelsea.

In the Independent, the focus is on a frustrated Arsene Wenger, who bemoaned Diego Costa's theatrics that aided in getting Per Mertesacker sent off for a last-ditch tackle.

It's a similar message relayed in Metro and Daily Express.
