According to Italian newspaper Tuttosport (h/t Goal.com), the Uruguay international is reconsidering his future at the Parc des Princes, and the Red Devils are ready to capitalise on that uncertainty by lodging a €64 million (£48 million) bid for his services.
“The lone striking role at PSG is likely to be vacated when Zlatan Ibrahimovic's contract expires in the summer, but Cavani may not be prepared to wait that long,” per Goal.com. “United are prepared to offer him a way out of Paris but could face competition from Juventus, the report claims.”
Here are the kind of qualities the forward could potentially add to United:
Cavani seems tailor-made for English football. Not only is he a technical forward who possesses exceptional movement around the penalty area, but he also has the physicality for the Premier League. The former Napoli man is an industrious runner, brilliant at holding the ball up and a major problem for defenders when it comes to aerial battles.

His goalscoring is his main strength, though. While Cavani does have a reputation for missing routine chances, he is intelligent enough to continue putting himself in those positions and gets on the scoresheet plenty of times as a result.
As Bleacher Report’s Andrew Gibney noted, however, the Red Devils may have to shift some key players around in order to fit Cavani in as the No. 9:
The big challenge for the Red Devils will be convincing PSG to sell. Ibrahimovic has an uncertain future at the Parc des Princes, and after spending much of his career with the French champions out wide, Cavani is due for a run at the point of the attack, where he is at his best.
Even a side as flush as PSG would have to consider the large offer United are reportedly planning to make.
