Michigan Coach Jim Harbaugh Teams Up with Rapper Wale for 2020 Presidential Race
Look out, Kanye West. There might be some serious competition in the 2020 presidential race.
The Michigan Wolverines took a big step forward in their first season under coach Jim Harbaugh, capping off a 10-3 season with a 41-7 victory over the Florida Gators in the 2016 Citrus Bowl on Friday.
It wouldn't be a stretch to say that Harbaugh could run for governor of Michigan or mayor of Ann Arbor and win. So far he hasn't—but that might be because he could be planning an even bigger campaign.
After the Wolverines spanked the Gators, rapper Wale nominated Harbaugh for president:
"Harbaugh for prez #2020 he just wins things . With whatever he has.. Haha
— Wale (@Wale) January 2, 2016"
The 52-year-old coach responded:
You better believe Wale is willing to be Harbaugh's running mate:
"Absolutely “@CoachJim4UM: OK partner, we're doing this as long as you are my VP! Harbaugh/Wale 2020! You with me? https://t.co/eW1x7dbQ05”
— Wale (@Wale) January 3, 2016"
Kanye. Harbaugh. Wale. What a star-studded election that would be.
Harbaugh would win Michigan with ease, but West would win Ohio in a landslide. The other 48 states would be up for grabs. There's no doubt it'd be an election to remember.
