Leicester stay top of the table despite their 1-0 loss to Liverpool on Saturday. They saw their 10-match unbeaten run in the Premier League end thanks to Christian Benteke's game-winning goal in the 63rd minute.
Second-place Arsenal, who took part in the last match of the day, were trumped 4-0 by 12th-place Southampton with a chance to take the top spot in the table with a win. They remain two points behind the Foxes.
Cuco Martina provided one of the goals of the season with this strike that put Southampton in front, as NBC Sports Soccer shows:
Elsewhere in the league, managers are taking center stage. While one made his return to the dugout, another isn't too sure if he'll be hanging around for much longer in the Premier League.
Guus Hiddink, who coached Chelsea to an FA Cup title in 2009, took over on the touchline on Saturday after the sacking of Jose Mourinho. Chelsea could only muster a 2-2 draw against Watford. While the man on the sideline is different, the result remained underwhelming for Chelsea, who had to scramble back from a 2-1 deficit to earn a point.
They've taken four of their last six points in the Premier League as Diego Costa led the way with a brace.
NBC Sports shows his second goal of the day and Chelsea's equalizer:
He had just three goals in the league entering Saturday. While he looks to be heating up, he will have to sit out Chelsea's next game against Manchester United after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season.
Chelsea remain just two points above the relegation zone with 19 points. Yet over the past three weeks, it's been another big-four club that has been disappointing.
Manchester United dropped their third-consecutive Premier League game on Saturday, this time a 2-0 decision to 11th-place Stoke City. The loss drops United to sixth in the table as they've scored just three goals in their past six Premier League games.
For manager Louis van Gaal, his time could be running out, following this cryptic postgame press conference, via Sky Sports News:
With the match against Chelsea looming, another poor result could very well be the last of Van Gaal's tenure at Manchester United. It could also help turn things around for the defending champions, who are struggling just to stay out of the relegation conversation this season.
