Best Golazos from World Football This Weekend

Southampton full-back Cuco Martina made a name for himself on Boxing Day when he opened the scoring in the Saints' demolition of Arsenal in spectacular style.

The Curacoan star lashed in a wonderful half-volley with the outside of his right boot, making his debut Premier League strike a contender for goal of the season.

8. Harry Kane (Tottenham) vs. Norwich

Harry Kane's prolific spate showed no signs of slowing down on Boxing Day as his brace in Tottneham's 3-0 win over Norwich brought his season tally to 11. 

The English striker's second goal was a wonderful low strike from an acute angle. 

7. Cristiano (Kashiwa Reysol) vs. Vegalta Sendai

Cristiano Ronaldo's free kick conversion rate isn't too impressive, but the same can't be said of his J-League namesake. 

Kashiwa Reysol's Brazilian forward Cristiano scored an incredible hat-trick of free kicks during his side's 3-3 draw with Vegalta Sendai in the Emperor Cup on Boxing Day. 

His best dead ball was almost certainly his second, which you can see above. 

6. Chhangte Lallianzuala (India) vs. Nepal

India defeated Nepal in the final of the South Asian Football Federation Cup on Sunday.

Striker Chhangte Lallianzuala bagged a brace in the 4-1 win, making the 18-year-old the youngest ever international goalscorer in Indian football. 

Lallianzuala's second was definitely a thing of beauty. 

5. Marko Arnautovic (Stoke) vs. Manchester United

Manchester United's latest defeat was dished out by Stoke side on Boxing Day. 

The Potters' second goal, a thunderbolt from Marko Arnautovic, was symbolic of the brilliance they displayed throughout the game. 

The 26th-minute strike was Arnautovic's sixth league goal of the season. 

4. Jose Izquierdo (Club Brugge) vs. Kortrijk

Club Brugge stormed to a 4-1 win over Kortrijk on Saturday to get within three points of Gent at the top of the Belgian Pro League. 

Brugge's finest effort was their first, an absolutely dazzling solo run from Colombian forward Jose Izquierdo.

3. Fernando Forestieri (Sheffield Wednesday) vs. Birmingham

Sheffield Wednesday's playoff hopes were boosted with a 3-0 win over Birmingham on Saturday. 

The star of the show was former Watford attacker Fernando Forestieri, who scored in either half. His second was a lovely curling effort that concluded an impressive 60-yard run. 

2. Osman Sow (Hearts) vs. Celtic

Hearts managed to shorten Celtic's lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership by holding the Glasgow side to a 2-2 draw on Sunday. 

The equaliser came from a superb free kick routine that saw Osman Sow bury a rocket from distance.

Southampton's Martina might have given us an early contender for Premier League goal of the season. 

In the 19th minute of Southampton's 4-0 win over Arsenal, the Dutch-born defender struck a sublime ball with the outside of his foot to open the scoring. 

Immediate comparisons have been drawn with Michael Essien's wonder strike against the same opposition.

Not bad for a full-back!
