Jordan Thomas, Oklahoma CB, Arrested for Failure to Appear: Details and Reaction
Oklahoma cornerback Jordan Thomas was arrested after failing to appear in court for traffic violations on Saturday, according to Guerin Emig of the Tulsa World.
"We're aware of Jordan's traffic situation and it will be addressed internally," Oklahoma spokesman Mike Houck said, per Emig.
Brady Vardeman of the OU Daily passed along Thomas' mugshot:
His arrest comes as Oklahoma prepares for its College Football Playoff matchup against top-ranked Clemson.
Thomas, a sophomore, has appeared in 11 games this season, notching 44 tackles and five interceptions. He didn't start the team's season opener against Akron, however, and was suspended for the Sooners' third game of the season against Tulsa.
It remains to be seen if the school will take disciplinary action against Thomas after his arrest or if he'll be suspended for the game against Clemson. Losing the sophomore would be a pretty big blow for Oklahoma's defense, as Thomas has continued to show improvement this season and has proved to be a solid corner for the Sooners.
