Starting the day, sixth-place Deportivo came back from two goals down to draw Barcelona 2-2.

After goals from Lionel Messi in the 39th minute and Ivan Rakitic in the 62nd minute seemed to put the Catalonia side out of reach, goals from Lucas Perez in the 77th minute and Alex Bergantinos four minutes from full time gave Deportivo a well-earned point.

It was the second consecutive draw for Barcelona, who lead Atletico Madrid by three points in the table. Atletico still have a game in hand and will play Athletic Bilbao on Sunday.

Footy Live showed Bergantinos' equaliser:

Granada used a brace from Adalberto Penaranda to pick up a 2-1 win over bottom-dwelling Levante. Penaranda's second goal of the day came with just two minutes left to break a 1-1 deadlock.

His first of the day came in the 50th minute, only to see Levante's Simao Mate equalise 16 minutes later.

Penaranda wasn't the only player to score a pair of goals on Saturday, as Sevilla's Kevin Gameiro scored two in five minutes to lift the Sevillistas to a 2-0 win over Sporting Gijon.

La Liga continues with four more matches on Sunday, when third-place Real Madrid will visit Villarreal to try to close Barcelona's gap on top.
