Kevin Durant Visits School for Homeless Youths, Donates $35K to Cause
According to the Covenant House, which assists homeless children, over 2 million American kids face a stretch of time without a place to sleep every year.
That's an epidemic, frankly, one which Kevin Durant seems dedicated to rooting out of the Oklahoma City community.
On Wednesday morning, the Thunder forward stopped by Positive Tomorrows, a school for homeless children in Oklahoma City, to visit with the students.
The Thunder's Twitter account documented Durant's time with the kids, which culminated in a $35,000 donation to Positive Tomorrows for scholastic supplies and renovations to the school's kitchen.
Most importantly, the sight of Durant made the kids insanely happy.
If you're having a bad day, consider this your moment of Zen:

That's a kid who just saw Superman, and not the crappy Superman who can't even beat up Batman—the Christopher Reeve one who doesn't take guff from nobody.
Of course, if that reaction doesn't do it for you, there's this young man who may or may not have fainted when Durant walked up on him.
And the best news is, these kids will probably be seeing Durant again soon.
As ESPN.com's Royce Young noted, this is Durant's third donation to Positive Tomorrows. He's working up a rapport with the kids and appears determined to let them know they are remembered.
So, Good Guy KD is on a mission, and it's a really, really important one.
Dan is on Twitter. He'd probably make the same face if Kevin Durant walked in right now.
