EPL Table: 2015 Week 14 Top Scorers After Sunday's Premier League Scores

Gianni VerschuerenNov 29, 2015

Sunday provided some of the top forwards in the Premier League with the chance to add to their respective tallies, but there were no changes at the head of the top scorer's rankings, as Chelsea played out a scoreless draw against Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal drew 1-1 with Norwich City.

A single goal from James Milner was enough to hand Liverpool three points against Swansea City, and West Bromwich Albion battled to a 1-1 draw with West Ham United.

Here's a look at the full results from Week 14:

Sunday Recap

Chelsea and Spurs played out a physical but fairly close 0-0 draw in Sunday's early match, as Harry Kane couldn't build on his excellent scoring streak and Diego Costa spent the entire match on the bench.

The Spaniard responded to the snub by throwing his bib up in the air in disgust, and BT Sport's Ian Darke thinks his time with the Blues may be coming to an end:

Manager Jose Mourinho came to the striker's defence, per Chelsea's official Twitter account:

In his absence, Eden Hazard started as the striker, and while the Belgian put in a hard-working shift, he failed to truly threaten Hugo Lloris with the exception of a volley that was expertly saved by the Frenchman and a header that missed the goal.

Like Costa, Hazard has struggled finishing chances all season long, which explains why the Blues are so underrepresented in the top scorer's rankings.

On the other side of the pitch, Kane struggled against a physical Chelsea defence that didn't give away too many open looks. Sunday's result marked their third straight clean sheet, per WhoScored.com.

Kane has bounced back from a slow start to the season to rise all the way up to third place in the top scorer's rankings, and he came into the match having scored in six straight matches for Spurs. Opportunities were limited against the Blues, however, but he took to Twitter to tell his fans he was OK with nabbing a point against the defending champions:

Arsenal took the lead through Mesut Ozil against Norwich City and appeared to be cruising to an easy win, but injuries suffered by Laurent Koscielny and Alexis Sanchez ruined their momentum, and Lewis Grabban equalised just before the break to hand the hosts a point.

Koscielny was the first to leave the pitch, reaching for his back after a duel. Gabriel Paulista replaced him in the 11th minute, some 29 minutes before Sanchez set Ozil up for the opener. Grabban took full advantage of some defensive miscues to pull the Canaries level on the stroke of half-time. Sanchez's exit with a hamstring issue after an hour killed Arsenal's chances of a late rally.

As shared by John Cross of the Daily Mirror, manager Arsene Wenger knew full well Sanchez had a hamstring problem entering the match:

Liverpool looked sloppy in their 1-0 win over Swansea, but a handball from Neil Taylor and Milner's consequent penalty ensured the Reds' solid run in the league continued. With the win, Liverpool suddenly sit just four points behind Arsenal and the final Champions League ticket.

The Reds don't have any representatives near the top of the scorer's rankings, but one man who has the talent to change that, Daniel Sturridge, made his long-awaited return to the pitch against Swansea, per Squawka:

West Ham United and West Bromwich Albion shared the spoils, playing out a 1-1 draw at the Boleyn Ground. Mauro Zarate gave the hosts an early lead, but Winston Reid scored an unfortunate own goal shortly after the restart to gift the visitors a point.
