Galatasaray an Option to Former Liverpool Boss

Turkish newspaper Fotospor (h/t Metro's Lee-Thomas Mason) indicated Rodgers spoke to Galatasaray about the vacant manager's job. The club recently ditched Hamza Hamzaoglu, who hadn't even been at the helm for a full year.
Rodgers Still Has Plenty to Prove
Rodgers guided Swansea to England's top flight and even stabilised the club's position in the division. When he moved to Anfield, he finished second in the Premier League during the 2013/14 season, narrowly missing out on the team's first title since 1990.
But that was largely due to the efforts of talisman striker Luis Suarez. His prolific scoring run and mercurial creative flair utterly transformed a squad previously lacking direction.
Yet, once Suarez left for Barcelona in the summer of 2014, Rodgers couldn't replace him. He wasted money on a series on uninspiring transfer flops, players such as Lazar Markovic and Mario Balotelli.
Perhaps the chance to work outside the country where his reputation was shattered will appeal more to Rodgers.
