For the visitors, 16-year-old Martin Odegaard took his place in the starting lineup.
The task ahead of him and Norway became much tougher after a quarter of an hour when Tamas Priskin scored a superb goal to give Hungary the lead on the night.
The former Watford and Ipswich man collected a long ball, held it up nicely before firing a brilliant finish past Orjan Nyland.
