Chelsea Official Website Unimpressed with Charlie Adam 'Forearm Smash'

Mark BollonsNov 7, 2015

It was another evening to forget for Chelsea in the Premier League, and their official website wasn't too impressed with Charlie Adam in Stoke's 1-0 win at the Britannia Stadium.

The Scot avoided collecting a yellow card on a couple of occasions, and it was clearly too much for the man behind the keyboard for the Blues.

In two separate parts of their post-match review, they question why Adam didn't receive a yellow from the man in black, with the final suggestion that he produced a 'forearm smash' on Nemanja Matic.

Per the official Chelsea website:

"

Charlie Adam kicked Pedro on the half-hour but avoided a yellow card. Again shades of our game here 11 days ago.

The first major incident of the second half was a forearm smash into the jumping Nemanja Matic from guess who? Charlie Adam; with guess what outcome? Words from the ref but no yellow card.

"

Did Mourinho write the review from his hotel room? Probably not, but you can imagine he had a similar view on the Adam incidents.
