Kelly Comments on Prosise's Playing Status
Sunday, Nov. 15
Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly told reporters that Prosise is probable to play vs. Boston College.
Prosise's Injury Another Blow to Notre Dame Offense
Prosise is the team's leading rusher, with 975 yards and 11 touchdowns on the ground, but he has been nicked up this season, and it has been a concern for Kelly.
At the end of October, Kelly had Prosise wearing a red no-contact jersey during Notre Dame's practices to ensure he stayed healthy, according to Skrbina.
Freshman Josh Adams filled in for Prosise after his exit. Adams has gained 412 yards and three touchdowns on the ground this year.
Notre Dame has already had to go to backup quarterback DeShone Kizer following an injury to Malik Zaire, and the team's national championship hopes will surely take a hit if Prosise is out for an extended period of time.
