Aston Villa vs. Manchester City
All eyes will be on Garde at Villa Park on Sunday when he takes to the dugout for the first time as Villa boss.
The former Lyon boss only has three years' experience of management but had great success with limited resources at the Ligue 1 side, guiding them to fourth, third and fifth in the table and, even more excitingly, took them to three cup finals, winning one—the 2012 Coupe de France.
Per Monday Night Football on Twitter, his side were especially impressive going forward:
French football experts Matt Spiro and Jonathan Johnson are among those predicting Garde will be a success at Villa Park:
According to the Telegraph's John Percy, the 49-year-old is confident he is the right man to lift the club out of the mire: "I haven't the certainty we will stay in the Premier League because the situation we are in is difficult, but I have strong belief we will do it. I'm not a dreamer or a magic man, I have strong ideas."
Expect the club to show early signs of improvement after Garde's likely morale-boosting appointment.
Manchester City were slightly shaky last time out against Norwich City, but after recording an outstanding win over Sevilla in the Champions League, the title contenders look in good shape and should have enough to see off the revitalised Villa.
Bournemouth vs. Newcastle United
Picking up three points is crucial for both sides here as they seek to haul their way up the table and away from the threat of relegation.
A win for Newcastle would see them claw their way out of the relegation zone at their opponents' expense.

The Magpies have performed well since their 6-1 thrashing at the hands of City at the start of October, running riot against Norwich City in a 6-2 win on Oct. 18. If not for a masterclass by Jack Butland, they could have scored several at home to Stoke City in their most recent league outing, per the Chronicle's Mark Douglas:
Even in their 3-0 defeat to archrivals Sunderland, the Toon were much the better side for the majority of the contest, and if not for the controversial red card for captain Fabricio Coloccini—subsequently rescinded—they may well have won.
Match of the Day presenter Gary Lineker believed the scoreline did not reflect the teams' respective performances:
Newcastle are wholly suspect at the back, and should the Cherries test them, they could well be rewarded with a goal. But with attacking options such as Aleksandar Mitrovic, Ayoze Perez and Georginio Wijnaldum, things are slowly starting to click for the Magpies going forward.
Against a back line that has conceded 12 goals in its last three games, Newcastle could just have enough about them to secure a vital win on Saturday.
