Giles Comments on Surgery
Tuesday, Nov. 24
Giles took to Twitter after his surgery to provide an update on his status:
Giles' ACL Injury Adds to History of Knee Problems
Giles is the No. 2 prospect in his class, per 247Sports' composite rankings, and he has declared for Duke.
The 6'10" Oak Hill Academy product has a history of knee injuries, as he tore his left ACL and MCL two years ago, per ESPN's Jeff Borzello. Per SNY.tv's Adam Zagoria, the tear is in his right ACL this time around and has been categorized as slight.
Duke is getting a superb playmaker in the frontcourt, but the nature of his injury suggests he may not be ready to play right away as a freshman.
However, barring complications, Giles should be recovered in time to enjoy a productive college career.
