African Footballer of the Year 2015 Award 10-Man Shortlist Announced
The 10-man shortlist for the 2015 Confederation of African Football Player of the Year was announced on Monday, with the likes of Manchester City's Yaya Toure and Borussia Dortmund's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang among those in contention for the prestigious award.
All but one of the players ply their trade in the top European leagues, and other well-known names on the list include Swansea City star Andre Ayew, Roma's Mohamed Salah and Southampton's Sadio Mane.
Mudather Eltaib Ibrahim—the only player not from a European club—plays for Saudi side Al-Hilal, meaning none of the 10 nominees play their club football in Africa. Here is the list in full, courtesy of Football Italia:

Aubameyang is likely his greatest rival for the award, having racked up a stunning 20 goals and five assists for BVB this season.
Per Football Italia, the award ceremony will take place on January 7 in Nigeria.
