Lobendahn Out for Season
Sunday, Oct. 25
According to Ryan Abraham of USCFootball.com, Lobendahn will miss the Trojans' final five games and potential bowl game because of the knee injury.
The sophomore star came into 2015 with a lot of buzz after a tremendous first year at USC. USA Today named him a Freshman All-American in 2014 after he started all 13 games, including five at left tackle.
USC's offensive line has been a mess in 2015 because of injuries. Chad Wheeler didn't play against Utah after suffering a concussion, and Max Tuerk was already out for the year after suffering a torn ACL.
After entering the year at No. 8 in the preseason Associated Press Top 25, the Trojans are off to a mediocre 4-3 start. They did get a huge win against the third-ranked Utes on Saturday, but it came at a steep price.
Lobendahn has proved his versatility on the offensive line in a short period of time, playing on the left side before moving to center this year. USC will be fortunate to tread water for the rest of the year because of all the protection problems.
