UK Back Pages: Jose Mourinho's on the Brink After Another Chelsea Defeat

It couldn't have been more of an opposite Saturday in the Premier League for long-feuding managers Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger. 

Mourinho's Blues were reduced to 10 men, Mourinho was sent to the stands and Chelsea fell in a London derby to West Ham 2-1. 

Wenger's Arsenal made it four consecutive wins in the league, holding off Everton 2-1 at the Emirates to move to the top of the table.

According to the Daily Mirror, Wenger is now being handed a two-year contract extension with the Gunners while Mourinho is ridiculed across the back pages with his job status in jeopardy.

In The Independent Mourinho is spared of being front and centre thanks to New Zealand's victory over South Africa in the Rugby World Cup, but the Chelsea boss is on the "edge."
