NFL Power Rankings 2015: Team Records and Standings Predictions for Week 7
Three of the NFL's most dominant and unbeaten teams will get to preserve their spotless records for at least one more week: The Green Bay Packers, Cincinnati Bengals and Denver Broncos, all with 6-0 records, have a Week 7 bye.
Aside from making life difficult for fantasy owners, those teams' absence will allow other contenders to elbow their way into the power rankings.
But even teams who appeared to be trending upward in Week 6, such as the Detroit Lions—who had their first win—and the Philadelphia Eagles, who beat the New York Giants, will struggle to come away from Week 7 with another consecutive victory.

On the Rise: Philadelphia Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles got their second win in a row on Monday Night Football as they took down the New York Giants in a surprising 27-7 upset.
However, it wasn't a complete game for the Eagles despite what the score might suggest. One of those touchdowns came off a Nolan Carroll 17-yard interception of Eli Manning that he returned for a score. Kicker Caleb Sturgis added another six points with his leg.
Though quarterback Sam Bradford got off to a strong start with a 32-yard touchdown pass to Riley Cooper in the first quarter, he also threw three interceptions. Luckily, the Giants did not score off any of those turnovers.
In more ways than one, this win was thanks to the Eagles defense. It had three takeaways, sacked Manning three times and forced two intentional-grounding penalties.
Despite their inconsistent play and 3-3 record, the Eagles are now tied for first place in the NFC East with the New York Giants and currently hold the tiebreaker over them.
There are some positive things going for Philadelphia heading into Week 7. It appears head coach Chip Kelly is finding better ways to use veteran running back DeMarco Murray, running him from under center more often with less shotgun.
Murray had his best game of the season on Monday, with 22 attempts for 109 yards and a touchdown.
Getting linebackers Kiko Alonso and Mychal Kendricks and wide receiver Nelson Agholor back could give the Eagles a real boost down the stretch.
Though Philadelphia is on the rise in this week's power rankings, it's hard to imagine it beating the 5-0 Carolina Panthers. That's part of what landed it at No. 11.
On the Decline: Baltimore Ravens

It was hard to imagine things could get worse for the Baltimore Ravens, but landing at 1-5 after falling to the San Francisco 49ers did just that.
Unfortunately for Baltimore, the Ravens were actually favored in this game. But giving the win away was a complete team effort.
On offense, quarterback Joe Flacco threw two interceptions, while wide receiver Steve Smith Sr. dropped two potential touchdowns in the end zone. Even one of them would have been a game-changer.
But the defense also missed some opportunities, dropping two potential interceptions on Colin Kaepernick.
The team now has the unenviable distinction of having the worst start in franchise history, and it tumbles to No. 28 in the power rankings.
In fact, the Ravens are now on pace for their worst record of all time after the 1996 team went 4-12, as Ryan Mink pointed out.
But if they keep up this kind of play, the Ravens will have more to worry about than falling in power rankings. To start, head coach John Harbaugh may need to fear for his job. The same might be true for defensive coordinator Dean Pees.
It's hard to imagine that after posting the best statistical season of his career in 2014, it's come down to this for Joe Flacco and his Ravens: tied for the worst record in the league. But such is their reality now.
