Best Golazos from World Football This Weekend
Top-flight domestic football returned over the weekend, and it brought with it a plethora of stunning goals.
In fact, there were so many golazos there is no room in the top 10 for Thomas Muller's smart control and finish against Werder Bremen, Miralem Pjanic's fantastic free-kick against Empoli, Cristiano Ronaldo's lovely finish against Levante, Andre-Pierre-Gignac's impressive volley in Mexico, Antoine Griezmann's solo effort for Atletico Madrid and Ignacio Piatti's brilliant one-man show in MLS.
With the extensive list of honourable mentions taken care of, we can move on to the main event.
10. Robin van Persie (Fenerbahce) vs. Kayserispor
1 of 10Robin van Persie recently told Lig TV he is not happy with the way things are going for him at Fenerbahce (h/t the Telegraph), but the Dutchman's mood must have been lifted on Sunday, when he scored a superb, powerful free-kick to earn his side three points at Kayserispor.
It was RVP's fourth league goal of the campaign.
9. Anwar El Ghazi (Ajax) vs. Heracles
2 of 10The 12,000 fans who attended Ajax's 2-0 win at Heracles on Saturday got plenty of golazo for their money.
Nemanja Gudelj scored a bullet in the 22nd minute, but not before Anwar El Ghazi received the ball with his back to goal, turned and beat two defenders before putting the ball on a sixpence in the top-right corner.
8. Mohamed Coulibaly (Vianense) vs. Benfica
3 of 10
Mehdi Carcela scored a gorgeous volley in Benfica's Portuguese Cup win over Vianense on Friday evening, but it wasn't the most impressive strike of the game.
That belonged to Vianense's Mohamed Coulibaly, who picked up the ball in his own half in the 79th minute before charging toward goal and unleashing a powerful long-ranger.
7. Jordi Calavera (Gimnastic de Tarragona) vs. Bilbao Athletic
4 of 10Spanish second-division side Gimnastic de Tarragona earned a 2-1 victory over Athletic Club's second team over the weekend thanks in part to a stunning strike from Jordi Calavera.
Just before the half-hour mark, the 20-year-old defender—yes, defender—opened the scoring with a sweetly struck first-time effort.

6. Michael Arroyo (Club America) vs Tijuana
5 of 10Club America stayed within touching distance of the Liga MX summit with a 2-0 win at Tijuana on Friday evening.
The best moment of the game came in the 15th minute, when Michael Arroyo opened the scoring with an absolute thronker from 30 yards.
5. Agim Ibraimi (NK Maribor) vs. NK Celje
6 of 10Those with an eye on the Slovenian top flight will know that Maribor earned a 3-1 win at troubled Celje on Saturday.
The deadlock was broken in style in the 50th minute, when Macedonian striker Agim Ibraimi sent a delightful strike across goal.
For some reason, a long-range golazo is always more satisfying when it goes in off the bar.
4. Jere Uronen (Helsingborgs) vs. Hammarby
7 of 10Hammarby were hammered 4-1 by Henrik Larsson's Helsingborgs in the Allsvenskan on Sunday.
The third goal the away side scored was something very special from Finnish defender Jere Uronen.
With a left foot like that, perhaps Uronen should be playing further up the pitch!
3. Szymon Pawlowski (Lech Poznan) vs. Ruch Chorzow

Lech Poznan find themselves rock bottom of the Ekstraklasa despite their 2-2 draw with Ruch Chorzow on Saturday.
In the 41st minute, Szymon Pawlowski put Poznan on the way to a point when he picked up a short corner and sent a cheeky lob over the 'keeper from an acute angle.
2. Sergio Pellissier (Chievo) vs. Genoa
9 of 10Chievo were defeated 3-2 but Genoa on Sunday, but the Verona-based side scored one of the best goals of the Serie A season so far.
In the 77th minute, Sergio Pellissier bagged a consolation with a sublime backheel volley.
It's all the more impressive when you consider the fact the Chievo captain is 36 years old.
1. Omar Eddahri (AFC United) vs. Brommapojkarna
10 of 10The weekend's most outrageous finish came in AFC United's Swedish second-division matchup with Brommapojkarna on Saturday evening.
In the third minute of injury time, AFC's Omar Eddahri found the ball in his path near the edge of the area. The French striker proceeded to make jaws drop when he lobbed the 'keeper with a sublime rabona to give his side a 3-1 victory.
