Week 6 NFL Picks: Predictions on Vegas' Mid-Week Betting Odds and Lines
When is an undefeated team in trouble?
When that undefeated team has a quarterback who has thrown more interceptions than touchdowns and that same quarterback has a hard time throwing the ball with velocity downfield.
That quarterback is Peyton Manning and while his Denver Broncos are 5-0, the team's ability to play consistently on offense is an issue. Manning has thrown six TD passes and seven interceptions, and his yards per pass is down to 6.53 this year.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Two years ago, Manning had a remarkable season with the Broncos as he threw 55 TD passes and just 10 interceptions. Just as notable was his spectacular 8.3 yards per attempt. However, the Denver Post recently rated Manning as the 20th-best quarterback in football.
The Broncos have been able to win in spite of Manning this year. Their defense has been the best in the NFL, and with Von Miller and DeMarcus Ware flying to the football, that ranking is not likely to change very much this season.
The Broncos bring their undefeated record into Cleveland this week, and the Browns are coming off an overtime victory in Baltimore. Unlike the Broncos, the Browns just had a spectacular showing from quarterback Josh McCown. He completed 36-of-51 passes for 457 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions.
The Browns come home a confident team and ready to build off that showing. McCown is not going to pierce the Denver defense the way he did Baltimore's, but he is playing well enough to make a few key plays. If he can lead the Browns to two or more touchdown drives, they have a good chance to hand the Broncos their first defeat.
Even if they don't, they should stay within the four-point spread that the linemakers have assigned, according to Odds Shark. We are going with the Browns to cover the spread.

Redskins deserving of respect on the road
The Washington Redskins know they let an opportunity slip away in Week 5. They went into Atlanta against the undefeated Falcons, and they dictated the way the game was played.
They had the lead early in the game, and the Redskins defense limited the high-powered Falcons offense. When Dustin Hopkins kicked a 52-yard field goal on the final play of regulation, that allowed the Redskins to send the game into overtime.
Washington quarterback Kirk Cousins was on the wrong end of a decisive play in the extra session as he threw a pick-six, but the Redskins played the Falcons better than any of their other opponents this year.
The Redskins are 2-3, but they have been competitive in every game. Now they go to MetLife Stadium for the second time this season. They fell short against the Giants in Week 3, but they may be able to give the rested New York Jets a good fight.
The Jets are coming off a bye week following their London game against the Dolphins. New York has been impressive for new head coach Todd Bowles, as the defense has played up to a high standard, and the offense has exceeded expectations with Ryan Fitzpatrick under center and Brandon Marshall catching passes.
While they are a talented duo, they can also make key mistakes. That's what the Redskins are banking on as seven-point underdogs.
The Redskins are on the verge of playing respectable football, and they should be able to make it another 60-minute game against the Jets. This game should come down to a late field goal, and the Redskins will get the cover.

Giants, Eagles promise to play high-scoring Monday night game
A few weeks ago, the Giants were 0-2, and their fans wanted quarterback Eli Manning and head coach Tom Coughlin to take the Walk of Shame.
The Giants had blown double-digit leads in the fourth quarter of their first two games, and much of it was due to the poor clock management of the coach and the quarterback.
Those issues have not been fixed in the ensuing three games, but the Giants have managed to win three in a row. Manning has been finding receivers Odell Beckham Jr. and Rueben Randle with precision, and the offense could grow even more prolific when it gets Victor Cruz back in the lineup.
While the Giants can throw the ball all over the lot, they can't stop opponents from doing the same thing. The Giants rank dead last in pass defense.
That's the kind of news that Philadelphia quarterback Sam Bradford needs to hear. He has struggled in the early going, but he showed signs of coming out of it in Week 5 against the Saints. The Eagles scored 39 points in that game, and Bradford threw for 333 yards and two touchdowns. He can make it two productive games in a row here.
Manning should find open spaces against the Eagles' 26th-rated pass defense. Beckham was slowed by a possible hamstring issue at the end of New York's win over San Francisco in Week 5, but running back Shane Vereen is still healthy.
The total in this game is 50, according to Odds Shark, and these teams will pass that mark before the end of the third quarter. This will be a high-scoring, back-and-forth game that will likely come down to the last possession.
