Djokovic to Take on Nadal in Final Showdown

Nadal was first on court and Fognini broke the Spaniard in the opening game of a thrilling first set.

The world No. 8 responded in style as he broke back twice to take a 3-1 lead. A double-fault from Nadal handed Fognini another break of his own, and the match followed serve until a fifth break and third for Nadal at 6-5 handed him the lead in the match.

The second set was more straightforward as Nadal broke his opponent just once on the way to a 6-3 victory, but the Italian did not make things easy for the 29-year-old as he saved two match points including this phenomenal rally, per TennisTV:

Djokovic was comfortable in what could potentially have been a difficult tie as he dismissed fourth seed David Ferrer.

The Serb broke Ferrer early on as he took a 2-1 lead and cruised to a 6-2 win in the first set as he made his opponent do all the work with some exceptionally accurate hitting:

The second set was a similarly one-sided affair as he closed the match out with a 6-3 victory. A late break by Ferrer at 5-2 handed him a brief lifeline, but that was quickly snuffed out as the Djoker broke back immediately to progress to the final.

Djokovic has won both of his meetings with Nadal in 2015, and having lost just five matches all year, the unstoppable Serb is likely to add to his five ATP titles for the season, though it's impossible to ever completely rule out the Spaniard.

In the women's draw, Bacsinszky came from a set down to thrash Ivanovic as the sixth seed capitulated.

The Serb looked to be in control as she won the opening set 7-5, but Bacsinszky ruthlessly punished her for some sloppy play as Ivanovic made 41 unforced errors and 11 double-faults, according to TennisTV:

Bacsinszky raced to a 5-2 lead in the second to send Ivanovic to tears, and though the sixth seed regained some composure to break back, the Swiss star dominated proceedings as she swept her opponent aside.

Radwanska began the stronger in a hard-fought match, taking the first set 6-4 as she ruthlessly converted every break-point opportunity that came her way.

Muguruza came back strongly, though, winning three consecutive games at 3-3 in the second set to level the score.

The Spaniard almost waltzed to a 6-1 win in the final set, but at 5-1 down, Radwanska roared back into the match in a thrilling climax. The 22-year-old held her nerve and saw out the match at 6-4.

She's won both of her past encounters with Bacsinszky and will have the edge in their match.

Bacsinszky showed great resilience to come back in her triumph over Ivanovic, but Muguruza is far more composed under pressure and won't fall apart so quickly if she gets into trouble.
