Jason Garrett, Jerry Jones Respond to Greg Hardy's Tom Brady, Patriots Comments
One day after Greg Hardy's controversial media session, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and head coach Jason Garrett have offered two very different responses to the situation.
On Wednesday, Hardy met with the media as he prepares to return to the field following a four-game suspension.
One topic discussed, with the Cowboys facing the New England Patriots Sunday, was Tom Brady. Hardy brought up the Patriots quarterback's wife, Gisele Bundchen, according to Jon Machota of the Dallas Morning News:

Garrett's response was about what would be expected from a head coach trying to avoid distractions for his team before a big game, per Eric Prisbell of USA Today:
"Well, we just addressed it immediately. That’s not how we want to operate as an organization. Players and coaches in our organization understand that. We want to distinguish ourselves with our play, not with what we say. We want to define ourselves with what we do, not by what we do. Greg understands that now. That’s how we want to proceed going forward.
"
On the other hand, Jones—as quoted by Melissa Jacobs of SI.com—seemed to echo, if not outright support, Hardy's comments.
“When I saw him marry her [Gisele], Tom went up in my eyes 100 percent. She’s very very attractive and it shows what an outstanding individual Tom is,” he said.
While Garrett handled the situation appropriately for a coach trying to avoid distractions, Jones' comments were completely misguided and counter the head coach's effort to defuse the situation.
Hardy is walking a tightrope as it is, for reasons that go beyond many of the comments he made Wednesday. Garrett is trying to do the right thing to help his team prepare for a good team Sunday, but the distractions only seem to be increasing.
