Barcelona Transfer News: Neymar Expected to Stay for 'Life' Amid United Rumours
Barcelona star Neymar is not going anywhere and is expected to stay at the Camp Nou for his entire career, according to the club's technical director Roberto Fernandez.
Amidst rumours of interest from Manchester United, the Brazilian is in negotiations with the La Liga champions to extend his current contract past 2018, per Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo (h/t the Mirror).
Fernandez insists the negotiations will go forward without a hitch and is confident the 23-year-old star will be at Barca for life, per Spanish outlet Marca (h/t Press Association via the Daily Mail): "We are currently working on Neymar's contract extension, and I don't think there will be any type of problem. I have no doubt in my mind that Neymar will spend the rest of his life at Barcelona."

Neymar is more important to Barcelona than ever at the moment, as their lack of depth has become glaringly apparent since Lionel Messi's injury, per Bleacher Report's Sam Tighe:
The Brazilian forward was a bright spark on Saturday, but Barca still went down to Sevilla 2-1 in La Liga, per ESPN FC's Lee Roden.
Neymar has not travelled to play with Brazil in their upcoming World Cup qualifiers during the international break, as he is currently serving a CONMEBOL suspension.
This should give him time to work on his fitness and form ahead of Barcelona's next clash against Rayo Vallecano on October 17.
Neymar had a brilliant season in 2014-15 alongside Messi and Luis Suarez, scoring 22 La Liga goals and 10 in the Champions League, per WhoScored.com.
He has yet to hit quite the same heights this season, but Barca manager Luis Enrique will hope to see him back to his consistent best after the international break as Neymar attempts to fill Messi's boots.
Per the Press Association (via the Daily Mail), United were prepared to shell out £130 million on Neymar's buyout clause in the recent summer transfer window.
However, they were unsuccessful in luring him away from the Camp Nou, and they will seemingly come up against similar resistance if they pursue him again following Fernandez's comments.
