Best Golazos from World Football This Weekend

Ryan BaileyOct 4, 2015

Our latest golazo ranking is a thoroughly international affair, featuring efforts from England, Israel, Russia, Spain, Netherlands and Scotland.

Honourable mentions this week go to Jeremain Lens for the fantastic effort he managed against West Ham before getting sent off, Alen Halilovic's great strike for Sporting Gijon, Christian Santos' bicycle kick in the Eredivisie, Gervinho's lovely finish for Roma and the moment Cristian Erikksen added another free-kick to his CV.

Take a look at the ranking and be sure to leave a comment about your favourite.

10. Havard Nordtveit (Borussia Monchengladbach) vs. Wolfsburg

1 of 10

Borussia Monchengladbach dished out a 2-0 defeat to fellow Champions League contenders Wolfsburg on Saturday.

Norwegian midfielder Havard Nordtveit scored his first goal of the season in style, sending home a long-range volley in the 75th minute.

9. Willian (Chelsea) vs. Southamton

2 of 10

Chelsea looked to be on the way to three points when Willian sent in a superb free-kick in their bout with Southampton on Saturday evening.

However, the Brazilian's excellent dead ball wasn't a sign of positive things to come for the Blues...

8. Vicente Iborra (Sevilla) vs. Barcelona

3 of 10

Barcelona suffered their second league defeat of the season on Saturday, at the hands of struggling Sevilla.

The fatal blow was delivered in the 58th minute, when Vicente Iborra latched on to a Michael Krohn-Dehli through ball with a lovely overhead kick.

6. Lewis McGugan (Sheffield Wednesday) vs. Preston North End

5 of 10

Preston failed to get out of the Championship relegation zone when they suffered a 3-1 defeat at Hillsborough on Saturday.

The visitors' finest strike was their first, a fantastic looping volley in the fifth minute from Brian Easton.

A cracking finish for a defender!

1. Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City) vs. Newcastle

10 of 10

Sergio Aguero stole the headlines over the weekend by scoring five goals in 20 minutes for Manchester City, but the best strike of the 6-1 demolition of Newcastle was put away by Kevin De Bruyne.

The in-form Belgian made it 4-1 in the 53rd minute with a superb volley over Tim Krul.
