Daily Fantasy College Football Week 4: Top Sleepers and DraftKings Projections
Week 4 brings us plenty of intriguing and fascinating college football games.
There are a few diamonds in the rough to consider when making your fantasy selections for this week. This piece will take a look at five of the top sleepers, with point projections for all of the players in question.
Sleeper 1: Christian McCaffrey ($7,200)

McCaffrey had a monster game in the 41-31 victory over Southern Cal last weekend. The talented athlete had 115 yards rushing on 26 carries, as well as 37 yards receiving on three receptions. His ability to catch the ball out of the backfield makes him a very valuable member in the passing game.

Due to a dreaded high ankle sprain, there's a real chance Stanford quarterback Kevin Hogan will not play versus lowly Oregon State this weekend. Even if he does, he'll be limited from where Stanford would ideally like him to be.
As a result, expect McCaffrey to get even more touches. He should do some serious damage against an inferior opponent.
Projection: 125 yards rushing, 45 yards receiving, four receptions, one rushing touchdown, one receiving touchdown (35 points)
Sleeper 2: Matt Johns ($6,300)
It may appear that Johns is going up against a tough matchup in Boise State, but there are some things going for him.
The contest is being played in Charlottesville. From a statistical standpoint, Johns is off to the best three-game start of any quarterback in the Mike London era. Through three games, he's already thrown for 790 yards and six touchdowns to only three interceptions.
Boise State has demonstrated the propensity to give up yards through the air, as evidenced by a 309-yard effort by BYU quarterback Tanner Mangum earlier in the year.
As such, Johns could have a sneaky-good game versus the Broncos at home.
Projection: 280 yards passing, three passing touchdowns (23 points)
Sleeper 3: DeAndre Washington ($4,700)
When looking at his price tag, Washington may be the best bargain of any player within this list.
The Texas Tech running back is averaging 8.0 yards per carry on the season. He had 138 yards on only 12 carries versus UTEP. Washington followed it up with another solid showing against Arkansas, in which he accrued 75 yards on 11 carries.
TCU's defense is in shambles right now. Ranthony Texada and Mike Tuaua were the latest two casualties, joining the likes of Mike Freeze, Sammy Douglas, Kenny Iloka, Davion Pierson and James McFarland.

Head coach Gary Patterson and the Horned Frogs pride themselves on traditionally having a stellar defense. However, the injuries are making it nearly impossible to sustain both continuity and an effective defensive effort. TCU gave up 37 points to SMU last week.
Texas Tech brings an explosive offense to the table. With TCU's defense so short-handed, Washington will have plenty of opportunities to put up some fantasy points.
Projection: 110 yards rushing, three receptions, 20 yards receiving, one rushing touchdown (25 points)
Sleeper 4: Trent Sherfield ($4,800)
Vanderbilt isn't very good. In fact, Derek Mason's team is the worst in the SEC—and it probably isn't close. However, the Commodores possess a very talented receiver in Trent Sherfield.

Currently, Sherfield is the leading receiver in the conference with 21 receptions for 347 yards and two touchdowns. Sixteen of those receptions came last week versus Austin Peay. Sherfield broke a school record for the most catches in a single game.
Vanderbilt travels this week to Ole Miss. Conventional wisdom suggests Ole Miss putting up a whole lot of points against a team far less talented. As such, Vandy will likely need to throw the ball a good chunk of the time in order to "catch up" to the Rebels.
This would mean more opportunities for Sherfield in the passing game.
Projection: 100 yards receiving, eight receptions, one receiving touchdown (27 points)
Sleeper 5: Adam Hine ($5,600)
The running back for BYU has steadily seen his involvement within the offense increase—which in turn has led to gains in the production category.

After having only four carries in the opener, Hine busted out with 23 carries for 149 yards versus a staunch UCLA defense last week. The big back displayed a nice combination of power and surprising speed. Hine's vision in the hole was also impressive.
BYU likes to throw the football all over the yard. Mangum is excellent at spreading the rock to his talented arsenal of receivers. Michigan—BYU's opponent this week—will want to neutralize the pass-happy BYU offense at all costs.
As a result, Hine could have a big day. Look for him to capitalize on the momentum he's currently built over the last few weeks.
Projection: 90 yards rushing, two rushing touchdowns (21 points)
