Monday Recap
Manchester United made easy work of their north-west neighbours Everton with a convincing 3-1 home win.
The hosts took the lead through James Weir after the midfielder played a neat one-two with the impressive James Wilson and confidently slotted the ball past the goalkeeper.
Josh Harrop contributed to the Red Devils' second, winning the ball with a crunching tackle and distributing to Wilson, who sprinted forwards and tucked his shot away for a second goal.
The Manchester Evening News' Samuel Luckhurst commented on Wilson's great strike and his involvement with the youth squad:
Wilson continued to scare the Toffee's defence with his speed and hard work throughout the first half, with Everton looking off the pace of the match.
Dutch starlet Timothy Fosu-Mensah impressed in the middle of the park for United, as the Reds kept a tight grip of the tie.
Footballer blogger Doron Salomon highlighted the player's contribution:
"Good opening half by United. Fosu-Mensah excellent in the middle. Very disappointed with Everton's Ryan Ledson so far, expected much more
— Doron Salomon (@DoronSalomon) September 21, 2015"
United put the game to bed in the second half with a goal from Jesse Lingard; the 22-year-old took his chance well after an excellent showing, dancing his way through the Everton defence.
The visitors grabbed a late consolation as Calum Dyson nodded home to give his team a lifeline, but United remained in control and took full points.
Tottenham beat Leicester in an 11-goal thriller at their training centre on Monday, after twice surrendering leads to the Foxes.
Kazaiah Sterling and Cameron Carter-Vickers both scored for Spurs, giving the hosts the perfect start, but replies from Harry Panayiotou and Keenan King drew Leicester level.

Two goals from Kenny McEvoy made it 4-2 early in the second half for the Lilywhites, but Elliott Moore and Panayiotou dramatically struck, amazingly making the score level once again.
It was left to Shayon Harrison (2) and Filip Lesniak to wrap the points up for Spurs in the final 25 minutes of the match, as the hosts pulled away to claim the victory.
Southampton's impressive start to the season continued as they beat a solid Reading outfit 5-2 at the Madejski Stadium.
First-half goals from Harrison Reed, Sam McQueen and Ryan Seager, and a second-half brace from Jake Hesketh gave the Saints the emphatic win, placing them above Reading in Division 1.

Swansea edged a tight affair at home to Wolves, beating the Midlands club 3-2. Scottish forward Oliver McBurnie gave the south Wales side a very early lead, but Eusebio Bancessi equalised just after the break.
Goals from Daniel James and Daniel Alfei secured the game for the Swans, despite a late penalty from Bancessi making it a nervy end.
Brighton grabbed their first win of their Division 2 campaign at home to Stoke, winning 1-0. A goal from midfielder Solomon March was enough for the Withdean Stadium side to take their first maximum points of the year.
There were draws in Division 2 for West Bromwich Albion and Derby County, who drew 1-1, and a 2-2 result for West Ham United and Newcastle United.

Manchester United looked in fine fettle as they dealt with Everton with ease, and Louis van Gaal will be watching the form of the likes of Wilson and Lingard as he looks to supplement his senior squad.
The two players' class is obvious, but it appears they will have to move on loan if they want regular football.
The scheduling of Division 1 means United do not have another match for over a month—a less than desirable situation for LvG as he looks to give minutes to his fringe starlets.
