LSU Coach Les Miles Invites Teen with Cancer to Auburn Game
Saturday was a big day for LSU star running back Leonard Fournette, but it was an even bigger day for Sid Ortis.
That's because Ortis got to live his dream.
Ortis—a teenager with cancer from Birmingham, Alabama—was at Tiger Stadium on Saturday to see LSU and Auburn go head-to-head. While that alone would've made for a great experience, he also had a view not many get a chance to experience.
From up in the coaches' box, Ortis got to see Fournette run wild all over the Auburn defense. Fournette led his team to a 45-21 victory with 228 rushing yards and three touchdowns.
Ortis also had a special moment with Miles down on the field, via LSU Board of Supervisors member Scott Ballard:
How was the game?
Ortis is going through a lot right now, but thanks to Miles, the teen was able to just enjoy being a football fan for the day.
