Atletico Madrid vs. Getafe: Team News, Predicted Lineups, Live Stream, TV Info
Diego Simeone reacted fast and made changes on Saturday to help his Atletico Madrid side to victory against Eibar—and now he'll hope to find the same outcome at home to Getafe in their midweek Liga fixture.
Jornada 5 in Spain's top flight sees each side in action on Tuesday or Wednesday, with Atletico and Getafe playing the earlier night. Sandwiched between weekend games against Eibar and Villarreal, quick points in succession could push Atleti toward the early front-runners for this season's title and top four.
The manager's three subs against Eibar all came within the first hour of the game: two at half-time and one more soon after, with Angel Correa having a particularly big impact as he scored within minutes of his entrance and then set up Fernando Torres, another sub, later on to wrap up the win.

Simeone hailed the Argentinian forward's impact in helping find the breakthrough, per Marca. "Correa is a player who can make things happen near the opposition box and with goal threat to boot. He popped up at an important time, when the team needed a moment of individual inspiration."
A first goal of the season for Correa means that of Atleti's five first-choice forwards, only Luciano Vietto has yet to hit the back of the net. At the other end of the pitch, Jan Oblak has kept four clean sheets from five in all competitions, with only Barcelona's Neymar and Lionel Messi finding Atleti's 'keeper passable. Indeed, Oblak is fast becoming one of Europe's most impenetrable goalkeepers.

This match is very much a derby, with just over five miles separating the two teams, but the chasm in quality between the two should mean the distance in performance and goals come the end of 90 minutes is much wider.

The Teams
Atletico have started the season in good form and with good results—with the notable exception being the defeat to Liga champions Barcelona, which disappointed manager and players alike. That aside, nine points from 12 and an away victory in the Champions League is a much more reasonable reflection of this Atletico squad and its ambitions for the season.

A 2-0 win over Eibar on Saturday was controlled, impressive and borne of the depth of the squad—both starting forwards were changed at half-time, with Diego Simeone recognising that they weren't quite offering enough. His words at full-time for the duo, Luciano Vietto and Jackson Martinez, offered the pair hope and encouragement rather than disappointment, per Sport:
"Vietto and Jackson Martinez are working well. At Atletico individuals are at the service of the team. If they hadn't done their work in the first half, it wouldn't have been as positive a second half. We have a great squad, as you saw in Seville and Turkey [against Galatasaray].
After the changes, the players that came on did very well, like Jackson in Sevilla or today with Fernando Torres, Oliver and Correa. This speaks well of the footballers.
"
Getafe, meanwhile, have lost both their away games so far, scoring only once. Goalkeeper Vicente Guaita, per FourFourTwo, acknowledged there is a huge gap between the teams in terms of quality, and his comments are largely reflective of what can be expected in the game.
"On Tuesday we know have a difficult game. Atletico are in another league—they will be favourites," he said. "We want to get the three points from Calderon. It will be difficult but not impossible."
Team News
Karim Yoda remains absent through injury for Getafe, but everybody else should be available. Summer signing Wanderson has been in and out of the side so far this season, but should they stick with him on the right side of the front line, he will hope to have more of an impact—Moi Gomez is still waiting to really be given a chance. Bernard Mensah could also make an appearance against his parent club, having come off the bench for Getafe twice so far this season.
FourFourTwo reported Emi, Pablo Sarabia and Roberto Lago are doubts for the visitors, with Koke troubled by a thigh problem for Atletico.
Aside from Koke, Diego Simeone has a full squad available to choose from, meaning there will disappointed individuals once more as he rotates his bench options, if not the starters to a huge extent.
Their most recent match saw the likes of Jesus Gamez and Guilherme Siqueira left out of the 18. Thomas Partey hasn't yet been in a Liga matchday squad. Three wins from four this season means that is not particularly likely to change any time soon.
Possible Starting Lineups
Atletico Madrid (4-4-2): Jan Oblak; Juanfran, Josema Gimenez, Diego Godin, Filipe Luis; Antoine Griezmann, Gabi, Tiago, Oliver Torres; Fernando Torres, Angel Correa.
Getafe (4-2-3-1): Vicente Guaita; Damian Suarez, Alexis, Emiliano Velazquez, Carlos Vigaray; Mehdi Lacen, Alvaro Medran; Wanderson, Victor Rodriguez, Angel Lafita; Stefan Scepovic.
Players to Watch
Atletico Madrid: Angel Correa

The Argentinian has made a splendid start to the season considering his relative lack of time on the pitch. Correa has managed just 86 minutes on the pitch for Argentina and 54 for Atletico, yet he has scored for both club and country and was a big part of the win over Eibar on Saturday.
It wouldn't be a surprise to see him called up to make his full debut for Atleti in this midweek game as a result of his impact off the bench, and even if he doesn't start, he'll be one of the first Simeone calls upon to help shape the fixture in Atleti's favour.
Whether in a 4-4-2 or 4-3-3, Correa has already shown he has a lot to give Atletico this term.
Getafe: Angel Lafita

Arguably the most talented player on the Getafe squad list, Angel Lafita brings determination and aggression to Getafe's attacking-midfield line, as well as his fine footwork and ability to create chances in tight spaces.
Comfortable on the ball with either foot and able to dribble past opponents, as well as pick clever passes, he is a fine player to watch and will be vital to his team's success over the season as a whole.
Against Atletico, a team with a tight defence and a system the players know inside out, his unpredictability could be key to his side's chances of fashioning opportunities on goal and taking an unexpected result.
Prediction: Atletico Madrid 2-0 Getafe
