Anthony Martial and Graziano Pelle
Two exceptional foreign imports faced off against each other on Sunday as teenage prodigy Anthony Martial battled his opposite No. 9, Graziano Pelle—as Manchester United visited Southampton.
The Red Devils prevailed 3-2 as the Saints allowed the visitors back into the game, with Martial and Pelle both scoring twice.
Martial's introduction to English football has been superb; the young Frenchman arrived in Manchester with a huge price tag and an unknown reputation, with fans scratching their head as to whom manager Louis van Gaal had signed.

However, United supporters are now familiar with the qualities of the Monaco purchase, with Martial scoring three goals in just 115 minutes of English football, according to WhoScored.com.
Martial displayed the deadly art of scoring on Sunday, hitting two predatory goals as LvG's side swept to the win. The 19-year-old's first came after a Cruyff turn in the box and a superb strike, with his second coming after a mistake by Southampton's defence, allowing Martial to score with a calm finish.
The coolness of the Frenchman's finishing was more in keeping with that of a veteran attacker—looking like a mature international striker; scoring without emotion or bluster.
Pundit Ian Wright commented on the brilliance of the youngster, per BBC 606:
But as good as Martial was on Sunday afternoon, Pelle gave a classically informed striker's performance, always looking dangerous in and around the penalty spot.
Pelle opened the scoring in the match after David De Gea's save fell to his feet in the box for a simple finish. The Italy international doubled his tally late in the game with a smart header, giving the Saints a lifeline.
Opta highlighted Pelle's amazing contributions in front of the St Mary's crowd:

Both Martial and Pelle threaten to stay in the top scorers chart for the rest of the campaign, with each striker serving as their side's most potent finishers.
Martial is so young—but has a wise and intelligent head on his shoulders—and it is outrageous to think he is only at the very start of his development.
Pelle is a much more mature player, and at 30, he is in the prime of his career. His quality will guarantee Southampton finish well above the relegation places, and keep them comfortably in mid-table as they battle for a Europa League qualification berth.
