Amway College Football Poll 2015: Complete Week 2 Rankings Released
Ohio State pulled away from Virginia Tech in the second half Monday night to begin its title defense with a key road victory. The win also allowed the Buckeyes to retain their place atop the Amway Coaches Poll for Week 2, as announced Tuesday.
Most of the nation's top teams were able to escape the opening week unscathed. Arizona State and Stanford weren't as fortunate, however, and they dropped from the rankings as a result. Here's a look at the updated Top 25, per USA Today:

Buckeyes quarterback Cardale Jones drew the start for the reigning champions after an extended battle with J.T. Barrett. While he accounted for 285 total yards of offense and three touchdowns, he didn't do enough to completely shut Barrett out of the equation moving forward.
Interestingly enough, it was the other member of the quarterback logjam, Braxton Miller, who shined the brightest in his new role as a versatile playmaker. He racked up 140 offensive yards and two touchdowns on just eight touches, including this highlight-reel moment showcased by SportsCenter:
The Buckeyes, who were without multiple impact players due to suspensions, trailed at halftime before outscoring the Hokies 28-7 in the second half. Afterward, running back Ezekiel Elliott discussed how good they can be once back to full strength, per Mark Berman of the Roanoke Times: "It's great being on a team this good. ... We were even missing three other guys on offense that can change the game. It's just kind of crazy thinking that. .... It's kind of scary. We were missing guys and we still had so many weapons on the field today. We get some guys back next week. ... We have so much we can improve on so I think that's a scary, scary thing because we can be very dominant."
Third-ranked TCU also received a scare from Minnesota to open its campaign. Though the Horned Frogs only won by six and scored an uncharacteristically low 23 points, Mike Greenberg of ESPN believes that just showcased the unheralded Golden Gophers:
Alabama, Baylor and Oregon, which rounded out the top five from Week 1, all won by at least 18 points. The most impressive victory of the bunch came from the Crimson Tide, which scored a quick resume-building win against Wisconsin.
As mentioned, there weren't a ton of upsets during the opening weekend of action, but a couple of teams did dig themselves an early hole.
Arizona State got steamrolled by Texas A&M, 38-17. That suggests either the Sun Devils were vastly overrated or the Aggies were vastly underrated coming into the campaign.
Stanford also came up short against a gamely Northwestern squad. The Wildcats defense stole the show, holding the Cardinal to just 240 yards of total offense and six points.
Looking ahead, the marquee matchup on the Week 2 slate will see a top-10 battle as Oregon travels to Spartan Stadium to take on Michigan State. It's an especially important game for head coach Mark Dantonio's group, which, after facing the Ducks, has a favorable schedule until a late-season clash with Ohio State.
Other notable games that will likely have an impact on next week's rankings include No. 17 Oklahoma taking on No. 23 Tennessee and No. 15 LSU battling Mississippi State. As always, an upset can really shake things up.
