Magic G Mario Hezonja Daps Up Opposing Coach After Hitting 3-Pointer in Blowout
Orlando Magic shooting guard Mario Hezonja is as cocky as they come.
The No. 5 pick in the 2015 draft splashed home 24 points for Croatia in a friendly against Bosnia on Thursday, including an 11-point outburst in a three-minute span:
With time dwindling down and his team up by 15 points, the 20-year-old drilled a three-pointer in front of the Bosnian bench, turned around and dapped up the coach, who looked understandably baffled:
Keep in mind, everyone, that Hezonja isn’t big on the whole “respect” thing. Here’s what he told Sportske novosti (h/t Sportnando) in July 2014:
"Respect? No, I never had respect to anybody on a basketball court. I heard about, "If they smell blood, you get eaten." I'm not like that. I don't care. Whether it's a veteran or a young player standing in front of me I always have the same goal. I want to run over everybody.
"
Mario loves him some Mario. Here’s hoping he tries this on San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich next year.
