Alabama's Ryan Coleman-Williams Reportedly Expected to Return from Knee Injury vs. LSU
Alabama wide receiver Ryan Coleman-Williams is expected to return for Saturday's matchup with LSU after missing the last two games with a knee injury, according to On3's Pete Nakos.
The star wide receiver was out of the lineup after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery to repair a meniscus injury. Coleman-Williams had already been playing through the injury earlier this season, but he underwent surgery after taking a hit to the head against Georgia that forced him to miss time.
Coleman-Williams has 23 receptions and 415 receiving yards, both of which still rank third on the team despite his absence. The third-year wide receiver also has reeled in a team-high four receiving touchdowns and made special teams contributions on kick and punt returns.
Crimson Tide head coach Kalen DeBoer also told The Tuscaloosa News that he's "hopeful" to see the return of offensive lineman Racin Delgatty. Defensive lineman Terrance Green is also expected to return. Both players missed Alabama's past two games with injuries as well.
Alabama and LSU both currently hold identical 6-2 records, and the victor of their matchup could be well-positioned to earn a College Football Playoff berth. The losing team would face an uphill battle to make it to the postseason with three losses already on their schedule.
