Texas quarterback Arch Manning has drawn a unique comparison as he navigates through his 2026 campaign with the Longhorns.
A former NFL scouting director explained to On3.com's Pete Nakos why he believes that Manning shares a similarity with New York Giants quarterback Jameis Winston.
"Not because of the exact players they are, but because for the one great play they make it comes with some hiccups," the former scouting director told Nakos.

Winston was selected with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2015 NFL draft following a stellar tenure at Florida State in which he earned Heisman Trophy honors and captured a national championship.
He's dealt with inconsistency throughout his NFL career, though.
Winston has averaged 227.9 passing yards per game across 113 total appearances, tossing 163 touchdowns compared to 118 interceptions. In five games with the Giants this year, he's completed 57.0 percent of his passes for 957 yards and seven touchdowns while getting picked off five times.
Manning entered his 2026 campaign with high expectations, but Texas has suffered two losses in its first six games. He's thrown for 1,295 yards and 11 touchdowns to go along with five interceptions.
The 22-year-old has particularly struggled with ball security as of late, getting picked off three times in his past three starts.
The Longhorns own a 1-2 record over that span.
