Josh Hart Says Knicks' 0-1 Record 'Means Literally Nothing' After Loss to LeBron James' 76ers
New York Knicks star Josh Hart doesn't want to dwell on starting out his team's title defense with a season-opening loss to LeBron James and the Philadelphia 76ers.
"It's Game 1. It means literally nothing," Hart said Thursday after the Knicks followed up Tuesday's banner ceremony with a 106-100 loss at Madison Square Garden.
"We don't want to be our best versions of ourselves Game 1, and if we are, it's going to be a long season. So, we know there are a lot of mistakes that we have to clean up, that we have to learn from... We're ready to fix those mistakes."

Sixers Out to Spoil Knicks' Ring Night 😈

Bron Reacts to 24th Season 💪
The Knicks most recently faced the 76ers in the second round of the 2026 playoffs, from which they swept the Sixers on their way the franchise's first title since 1973.
The defending champions looked less dominant against a Sixers team that added James and Jaylen Brown this summer.
Karl-Anthony Towns ran into foul trouble early on opening night, after which the Knicks lost a halftime lead by shooting 37 percent from the field and 33 percent from deep.
The Knicks will get their next chance to earn first win of the season Friday night against the Boston Celtics.
The road opener, which will be highlighted by what Towns described as a "bittersweet" reunion with former Knicks star Mitchell Robinson, is set to tip off at 7 p.m. ET at TD Garden.
