Deion Sanders, Colorado vs. Utah Final Box Score, Top Player Stats and Highlights
A big third quarter failed to propel Colorado to victory as the Buffaloes fell to 2-4 on the season with a 27-24 loss to No. 11 Utah in Boulder on Saturday night.
The Buffs went into halftime down 13 points but took a 17-13 lead with a 32-yard field goal from Elliott Arnold. A pair of touchdown passes from Utah quarterback Devon Dampier put the Utes back on top, and they held on in in the end.
Colorado's Hail Mary attempt as time expired was unsuccessful.

Colorado coach Deion Sanders and the team's fans want to settle for more than moral victories at this point. Pushing a Top 25 opponent to the brink and gaining 394 yards won't cut it.
Quarterback Isaac Wilson's two interceptions proved costly against his old team as well.
The first gave Utah a short field in the second quarter and set up Dillon Curtis' 29-yard field goal. His second pick preceded Braden Pegan's six-yard touchdown catch, which made it a 27-17 game with 3:43 left.
Wilson also cost the offense valuable field position when he tried lateraling the ball to wideout Hykeem Williams at midfield on the game's final drive. The Buffaloes would've been right on the edge of field-goal range if the tactic had worked. Instead, it lost five yards on the illegal forward pass penalty and went back to its own 41-yard line.
Wilson is at least giving Colorado more at the position than it was getting earlier in the year. Sanders cited the QB play as a major factor holding the team back.
Along with the two turnovers, the Buffs committed 10 penalties for 93 combined yards. Underdogs can't afford to be that generous.
As much as Saturday could represent a small step forward, a loss is a loss, and another difficult matchup is ahead for Sanders' squad. A road trip to No. 18 Oklahoma State is on tap for Oct. 24.
A fifth straight defeat could be in store, and that would leave Colorado close to missing out on a postseason bowl.
