Flagg took some inspiration from his home state of Maine by making the C look like a pine tree.
The Eastern White Pine is the official state tree of Maine. Since 90 percent of Maine is forestland, it has earned the nickname of the "Pine Tree State."
Prior to his lone season at Duke, Flagg signed an endorsement deal with New Balance. He joined the stable of basketball players with the company, along with Kawhi Leonard, Kyrie Irving and Zach LaVine.
Flagg does not currently have a signature shoe, but he was given his own personal colorway of the New Balance Hesi Low v2 that he wore throughout his rookie season.
Selected with the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NBA draft, Flagg managed to live up to all of the hype he had coming into the league as a rookie. He averaged 21.0 points, 6.7 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game in 70 starts for the Mavericks.
Flagg joined Michael Jordan as the only rookies since the 1973-74 season to lead their team in total points, rebounds, assists and steals.
The Mavs will tipoff their preseason schedule Friday against the Houston Rockets in the first of two games at the Venetian Arena.
Flagg and the Mavericks will begin the 2026-27 regular season on Oct. 21 against the Rockets at the Toyota Center.
