College football fans who watched the season finale of HBO's Lanterns on Sunday saw a familiar face when Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule made a cameo.

"I don't know that I'll be taking my talents to Broadway anytime soon, but it was really cool to see Nebraska on HBO and to have a chance to do it," he told reporters Monday. "My daughters were probably more fired up than I was. They were very concerned I would not get my line right. It was a very cool experience."

He also called Lanterns a "great show" and expressed his gratitude for those who helped his cameo become a reality.

Rhule made an appearance on the show as himself recruiting an elite quarterback character at a high school football game.

The coach's appearance comes as his fourth season with Nebraska is off to an excellent start. The Cornhuskers are 5-0 overall and 2-0 in the Big Ten with conference victories over Michigan State and Maryland.

They will also have an opportunity to prove themselves on a national stage during their next two games against Indiana and Oregon.

If they win those, it will probably help Rhule's recruiting efforts both in reality and inside the DC Universe.
