LaNorris Sellers Reportedly Could Be Benched by South Carolina, Details Revealed in New Rumors
The South Carolina Gamecocks reportedly gave backup quarterback Cutter Woods more first-team reps in practice this week, signaling that LaNorris Sellers could be in danger of losing his starting job.
According to ESPN's Pete Thamel, Woods received nearly a quarter of the Gamecocks' first-team reps early in the week before ceding them to Sellers, who will start Saturday's game against Kentucky.
Thamel noted that South Carolina head coach Shane Beamer "stressed competition" throughout the week of practice, and his change in the allocation of first-team snaps was done with an eye toward preparing Woods to take over in case Sellers continues to struggle.
