FIU Reveals New Miami Vice Uniforms in Video, Photos Ahead of New Mexico State Game

Florida International provided a look at its latest uniforms inspired by the 1980s NBC crime drama Miami Vice in a series of social media posts on Friday.

The Panthers' new attire features a white and pink gradient design with "Vice U" replacing the school's name on the front of each jersey.

The white helmets also contain a blue version of FIU's logo.

Meanwhile, a black patch with pink and blue coloring is included on the back of each jersey to commemorate the 25th season of Panthers football.

The uniform combination represents the first base-pink uniform to ever be worn by an FBS team, per the school's official website.

FIU has become known for introducing Vice alternate uniforms on an annual basis, previously doing so in 2025, 2024 and 2023.

The theme hasn't been limited to the Panthers' football team, as similar designs have been introduced for other sports including baseball and soccer.

FIU has opened its 2026 football season with a 2-2 record, attempting to make consecutive bowl game appearances for the first time since 2019.

The Panthers' latest alternate uniforms will be worn during a matchup with New Mexico State on Wednesday. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. ET.
