Oregon's Dante Moore Vows to 'Be Back Soon' in Injury Update After Concussion vs. USC

Oregon quarterback Dante Moore has made his first public comment after suffering a concussion during Saturday's win over USC.

In a post on Instagram, Moore thanked everyone for their support before saying he has "made progress" and vowed to "be back soon."

Moore was injured when he took a hard hit to the head and neck area by USC linebacker Desman Stephens II on a scramble in the second quarter.

Medical personnel took Moore off the field on a stretcher and he was taken in an ambulance to a local hospital for evaluation.

Oregon announced on Sunday that Moore's MRI and CT scans came back clean. He was officially diagnosed with a concussion but did not suffer any additional injuries.

There was no official timetable given for Moore's recovery, as the school explained they "are going to move forward with an abundance of caution" given the nature of concussions.

The hit from Stephens on Moore led to a scuffle involving players from both teams, but the officials and coaches from both schools were able to calm things down before it escalated.

Stephens, who issued an apology for the hit, was suspended by USC for its upcoming game against Washington.

Moore was off to a fantastic start in the game prior to the injury. He went 8-of-10 for 77 yards in three drives. The senior quarterback has thrown for 926 yards, seven touchdowns with a 69.7 completion percentage in four games.

Oregon has a bye this week before hosting UCLA on Oct. 10.
