Oregon Unveils 'Origin of Speed' Uniforms, New Helmet Design in Video, Photos

Known for featuring a robust collection of jerseys that have cycled in and out over the years, Oregon is set to debut a new one for its Oct. 10 game against UCLA.

The Ducks unveiled the "Origin of Speed" uniform for its next home matchup.

Per Rob Moseley of Oregon's athletic website, the uniforms feature specific imagery that goes back to its original stadium Hayward Field that hosted Ducks games from 1919 to '66.

Details of the uniforms include a Night Forest green color that Moseley notes is Nike's darkest shade of green, as well as numbers that are a shade of green called "Green Strike."

Oregon's uniform history could fill out their own book with at least 50 iterations just in the past three decades before factoring in how many combinations can get made from the various looks.
