Preview and Prediction

Faizon Brandon has looked every bit like a top-3 prospect in the Class of 2026—at least so far. The freshman sensation is the first player since Johnny Manziel in 2012 to tally six or more passing touchdowns and three or more rushing touchdowns through his first three career games.

This offense has been dominant with Brandon and a two-headed rushing duo in DeSean Bishop and Daune Morris. Still, it's worth noting they've only faced one FBS opponent this season.

Additionally, Faizon faces significant challenges, as starting freshman quarterbacks have only won 6 out of 49 games against AP No. 1 ranked teams since 2000.

Texas is already battle-tested after defeating then-ranked AP No. 1 Ohio State in Week 2. But Arch Manning has not looked the part of a Heisman Trophy contender. In Week 3, Manning completed just 50 percent of his passes.

Tennessee's defensive line is relentless, limiting opposing quarterbacks to 2.34 seconds per throw, the second-best mark in the nation.

This is going to be a rowdy environment, and I expect the Vols' defense to stymie Manning with their pressure, while Brandon does just enough to pull off an upset.
