Jon Sumrall Makes Wild Joke on Video After Learning No. 21 Florida Is Favored vs. No. 4 Ole Miss

Every coach backs his team to win, but Florida's Jon Sumrall didn't expect the Gators to be favored in their upcoming game against No. 4 Ole Miss.

"There's a lot of good drugs out there," he told reporters Monday when alerted to the oddsmakers' opinions.

Florida is a 2.5-point favorite at FanDuel Sportsbook at the time of writing.

"I didn't even know the favored deal, but whoever is doing that, I don't know, they haven't watched the tape," Sumrall said. "They've got the best quarterback in college football, I think. He's a dude. They've got a lot of great weapons and so we've got a lot to work on."

Ole Miss and Florida are both sitting at 3-0 heading into Week 4, but they have far different resumes.

The Rebels opened with a win over Louisville, which is now sitting in 16th after beating SMU, and then gained a measure of revenge on their old coach by taking down LSU.

That's two signature victories already.

The Gators, on the other hand, coasted past Florida Atlantic and Campbell before holding off an Auburn squad that's still finding its identity under first-year head coach Alex Golesh.

Florida's offense is averaging 544.3 yards and 54 points, but the unit has yet to be tested in a big way.

The betting line basically reflects the fact Saturday's game is in Gainesville, Florida. The conventional wisdom, which doesn't necessarily apply anymore, is that the home team gets three points. If Florida and Ole Miss were playing in Oxford, the latter is probably favored.

But maybe this is a case of Vegas knowing something that most fans don't.
