UK Back Pages: Chelsea Step Up Pursuit of Everton's John Stones

Sean SwabyAug 17, 2015

Now that Jose Mourinho and the Chelsea board saw their defence torn to shreds, it seems as though the defending Premier League champions will up their pursuit of Everton's John Stones.

Amid a "controversy" because John Terry was substituted off at half-time, the back pages are now claiming the Blues will return and bid again on the young Toffees star.

Sun Sport relays a £35 million figure for Stones while also claiming that Ed Woodward is in Barcelona to finalise Pedro's move to Old Trafford and that Kevin De Bruyne won't leave Wolfsburg for £50 million.
