More Babies Have Been Named After Cristiano Ronaldo Than Lionel Messi

Lionel Messi may have taken most of the club plaudits last season, but Cristiano Ronaldo is thrashing the man he's forever compared to in the baby category in the United Kingdom. 

Priorities. 

Statistics shared by the Office for National Statistics show that Ronaldo is currently outpacing Messi in babies named after him, with Ronaldo currently in at 11 and Messi trailing with four. 

The data released also shows that baby-naming tends to peak after a player is named World Player of the Year.

Neymar, whose popularity has skyrocketed over the past few years, had eight babies named after him.
