Dante Moore Says Boise State 'Motivated' Oregon By Dancing During 'Shout' Tradition on Video

The Isley Brothers' timeless 1959 single, "Shout," has been played between the third and fourth quarters of Ducks home games at Autzen Stadium since 2010.

On Saturday, visiting Boise State decided to dance en masse to the song as the Broncos tried to mount an upset bid against the No. 2 Ducks with the score tied at 24.

Ducks quarterback Dante Moore had some comments on the matter. Of note, the moment apparently fueled Oregon.

"We seen it. We laughed at it," Moore said, per Ira Gorawara of The Athletic. "We went there and put points on the board. It motivated us."

The two teams traded field goals in the fourth quarter, but Oregon ended up winning 34-27 in part because Moore connected with wide receiver Dakorien Moore, who showed some sensational shiftiness and speed for a 62-yard touchdown.

Moore had some other comments on Boise State's dance.

"It was funny that they did the Shout," Moore said, per Gorawara. "It was a little weird."

As Gorawara noted, Oregon did something similar two years ago, when the Ducks danced to House of Pain's "Jump Around" at Camp Randall Stadium, home of the Wisconsin Badgers. The "Jump Around" tradition, which also occurs between the third and fourth quarters, started at Wisconsin in 1998.

Moore was asked if what happened Saturday reminded him of what occurred in 2024.

"I sure did," Moore said, per Gorawara. "Actually, they were just doing something that we've done before, and that's just trying to flip your mind when you find a way to try to steal the juice from the crowd."

Overall, credit goes to Boise State for having fun and staying loose in the moment. The Broncos ultimately fell to Oregon in a hard-fought game but showed why they should be taken very seriously this year.

Meanwhile, Moore showcased why he's considered a Heisman candidate and potential high NFL draft pick by producing on an afternoon where Oregon didn't play its A game.
