CFB Game Finishes in Tie Due to Extremely Hot Weather Conditions in Kansas, Full Details Revealed

A Division II college football clash between Colorado School of Mines and Washburn was suspended and finished in a 16-16 tie due to extreme heat conditions on Saturday, according to Chris Vannini of The Athletic.

Per Vannini, the temperature in Topeka, Kansas, was 99 degrees with a heat index of 108 and the game could not resume until the wet-bulb thermometer temperature dropped below 92.1 degrees by rule.

The Weather Channel reports that Topeka is under an extreme heat warning until Tuesday at 7 p.m. local time.
